Sunday thoughts

The start of something big and not so beautiful, change was needed and necessary in our world but the 'road to hell is paved with good intentions' and everyone is paying a price for social upheaval that has done a lot more harm than good.

When we have normal weather, this is a familiar view here at the Port.  A quiet time as day ends.

Life in the trunk of a tree.   Strange roots giving thought to a lot of imagination .

This is Hessa, friend and playmate of Emma.   Hessa has a tendency to hog it all...She has trouble sharing.  Usually she has a tennis ball or two in her mouth along with a toy.

Sunday a day of rest, so go and rest up today.    Make your day bright and beautiful just like you.   I'm off to have my breakfast and wake up and smell the roses...well, not roses but those big beautiful gladiola from La Verne's garden.   It is really lovely to have a neighbor who take such pride in her garden  and wants to share.   She calls herself 'my nosey neighbor' and that is exactly what she is . . . nothing gets by her and she lets you know what is going on in the neighborhood.    She just wants to help whenever and wherever she can.   It took awhile to understand her but once you are loved by an "Indian Maiden" you really find out what a good neighbor is all about. Her Indian ancestors are part of the tribe that lived along the coastal areas of California and Oregon.    I wish she would take pen in hand and write up some of her stories.  There is absolutely nothing she can't do.  Yesterday she was texturing a wall and came over with her hind end all white from trying to fit behind her washing machine to get to the wall.    She is already designing a special plaque for the wall so she intends to Spackle and make it sparkle.    I'll take a picture when she is finished to show you how creative she is.  Meanwhile, put your creative self to work and enjoy your Sunday, make your world go around and be a good neighbor as it brings out the best all the way around.   Hugs to all
