Once again the political cartoonist are right up to the minute on what is going on in our political world.  

I think I've shown this picture before, but it does make me think this is how President Obama sees himself in the mirror every morning.   

Here it is the start of another new week and we are heading for cooler weather.   Our fog is back and the air is still warm but the change is being felt.    We are hoping for our rains to come back as our gardens are in need of a good soaking.   I am not offering up any prayers though as some of the areas of our country are flooding way beyond the need, imagine fifteen inches of rain in one day in Colorado.    How does one recover from sink holes, sliding hillsides and severe flooding?   It is horrible to imagine the hardships some of our fellow man suffer; and yet we are just a stone throw away from a disaster of our own with huge forests surrounding us, earthquake faults at the ready and the rainy season about to begin.    Our dependency on others comes to mind and we need to think about being prepared to the best of our abilities.  All we can do now is to donate what we can to help those in trouble.   One day the shoe will be on the other foot and we will hope for others to be there for us.     So as the old timers would say 'don't borrow trouble, it comes to your door soon enough' and it does . . . sharpen up your attitude, look in the mirror and see the lion and/or tiger within and go 'lick the world with one hand behind you' today.    It is Monday, all day, make it the best day yet as you gather your strength, your courage of your convictions and head out the door with a mind set to accomplish all you set out to do.    The mantra for today....I think I can, I think I can . . . Yeah, I know I know you can.   So get up and get out there and show your 'stuff' .  Hugs to all.
