This says it all. A senior moment. Wonder what surprise is in his life today. There is always something new and different ready to pop up in the life of a senior, all they have to do is wake up, get up and make use of those new seconds of this day.
Hump day, seems to come around pretty fast. Our rain and wind are here to greet us this morning so Pat and I will drive over to the Port and take a peek at the waves. I had my neighbor Joe stop in yesterday to spread a little word. He brings someone new each visit and yesterday he introduced me to a lady named Helen. I had to laugh as she makes the third Helen in my life. A lovely lady from back east, a mother of seven, didn't say how many grandchildren. It is fun to have drop in visitors who want to make you feel good about sharing a few words and a hug. Jo is busy planting seeds and making good use of his greenhouse. He has a beauty and plans to share some of those luscious tomatoes again this year. I am thinking we all need to grow our own food, if we can, a few barrels might do the trick.
Stay healthy and happy. Don't forget to eat right and exercise. Go on one of those 'be good to myself' kicks and shape up so you will be ready to garden this spring. Don't forget a row of chard. Speaking of food, I haven't had my coffee yet, or the something to go with it....maybe some hot oatmeal would be good this blustery day with a few raisins and some honey and cinnamon; sounds good to me so off I go. Make your hump day a bright shining day filled with love and laughter all because you share YOU with those you love and like. GO! Enjoy today. Hugs to all. |
