One of the late October pictures when we were socked in. We had a week of no sunshine but nevertheless there is beauty to behold. The sun tried peeking through the clouds so it was worth trying for a picture.
Christine arrived so we are going to finish up "Pictures From A Moving Car" and get it out there on the Kindle and Amazon. I will be happy to see it in print. She brought me a lovely book from the gallery which was done up by the artisans and the local poets. It was first class all the way and very beautiful. The art work was tremendous but I am not sure I liked the poetry. Not jealous, honest, just think my story poems make much more sense . . . smile. She also brought down a beautiful picture of the Lavender Fields. One of the gallery painters did a really beautiful pastel. I have just the empty space for it. It was like Christmas with a huge bag of candy kisses from her stop at Costco and a huge can of coffee. She also brought along the newest craze of felt art and the books to tell us how to make some lovely little creatures as well as a cozy for a tea pot. Someone has a vivid imagination and Christine tells us it is easy, after all she mastered the art when she made a tiny white mouse I blogged about yesterday. We have a kit or too so we should be able to try our hand at it later today. It is going to be a great day spending time with Christine, Patricia and Erin . . . and we get to have a large pizza on the house as the one they sent Erin and I was just pure awful and not what was ordered. We are looking forward to a fun time and I hope you are plotting and planning the same. Think of something you want to try making for the holidays and get started. Invite a friend or two and find time to giggle, it is so good for you. Hugs to all. |
