After

And the mountain slides.   A very busy Highway 80 leading up to Reno and Lake Tahoe had a massive slide for the  Fourth of July weekend.    There is a fire going in the foothills.   The mountains are really beautiful and the ride up from Sacramento to Reno is awesome.  The scenery changes with each curve of the highway and leaves one breathless.     The sad fact is the mountain moves when it wants to and there is no warning.

Angie's new puppy has a name Queso . . .. Angie has a video on Facebook showing this little guy chasing her slipper around the living room.    A new toy and he ignored his bed with the fancy balls and toys.  There is nothing like an old slipper to play with . . . like children who love to play with pots and pans and ignore all the toys.

Well here it is Friday all over again.   The Fourth of July was quiet around this neighborhood.   A few fire crackers were set off but no where near as many as last year.    The big fireworks over at the Port was much smaller and a lot fewer high ones this year.    I heard more noise than a sky filled with spirals of color.    The sun is shining brightly this morning so we may be in for a warm or even a hot day.   Having a holiday in mid week throws me off as yesterday seemed like a Sunday, but waking up and finding the start of a long 'holiday' weekend gives us time to finish up all the leftovers and a little more time to catch up with ourselves, and a little more time to catch up with family and friends.     Look around and see what needs doing.    Pick up that gadget and take a picture, make a call, remember verbal hugs can make someone special smile all day.     Hugs to all.
