Mid Week

Now here is a clever idea if you have more tea pots than you know what to do with or can use in one lifetime.    What a way to show off a collection.

Sadness and heartbreak for the families.    Young men taken much too soon.    the fire still rages in Arizona and has destroyed acres of land and burned well over two hundred homes.   Fire and wind takes lives in seconds and there but the grace of God go I . . . remember to donate what you can when the need is known and the word is out.

Daughter Patricia was in this mood yesterday and friend Marcia joined in saying she felt the same way.   I am happy when the ladies have such a great attitude as it makes for a great day not only for them but for those they contact during the day.   I had a ride out to check the berry bushes which are loaded with white blossoms.   Whaleshead restaurant is undergoing a big change and we found they do not serve food on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which seems strange especially this time of year when the tourists abound.   We found a brand new restaurant which just recently opened in our town and discovered a room filled with small black tables and chairs and a heavy paper covering on the tables which makes it easier to clean up after a guest leaves.   The walls have unusual bright and beautiful modern art in colors that brighten the room.    The waitresses are at your elbow with refills before you can sip your water or coffee. That happens when new and one wants to make a good impression.    The food was super good, and we chose the special of the day which was a shrimp sandwich on a special bun and a small all green salad .   The desert which we didn't need but had to have was two small round crusty shells with a special filling laid out in a plate of white and dark chocolate.    A little more expensive than I care to spend on a lunch but truly worth it and we will go back on very special occasions.   the chef came out to ask how we enjoyed our lunch and we told him how delicious everything was and we would be back, but . . .that was before we got the bill . . . I guess you get what you pay for and when the food is that good then it must be worth it.  When you come for a visit we can go there but sorry to say it will have to go dutch, unless I find a rich uncle or win a big lottery and then it would be my treat . . . or, if you promised to eat lightly, nothing cheap about me.

Here it is July 3rd already, the first hump day of this month.    Fire crackers are for sale and the heat of the inland areas is creating a foggy area here on the coast.    We love it but it does bring a lot of folks to our little town to cool off and to celebrate the fireworks.    Let us hope the fog lifts so we can see the display.  Don't forget to shop today and get ready for your cookout.     Don't forget the pickles.  Make your today worth a thousand smiles and add a few hugs along the way.   Make YOUR day!!  Hugs to all.
