This would be a good sign for the high school bathrooms.
Words, so easy to spiel, so easy to spew, can bring abject horror or heavenly bliss depending on our moods and moments as we go about living our seconds each day. Signs can create reasons for debate as each person has their own opinion about what is going on in their lives and how it effects them personally. That old adage of having to 'walk a mile in some one's shoes' would be foremost in thoughts and deeds if one stopped to think before speaking out loud. How many times in our lives have we regretted the words we uttered and could never take back. Oh yes, an apology comes in handy and is sometimes meaningful an useful but we need to think before we speak as everyone, young or old, is truly fragile. There is a part of our spirit that wants and needs to be loved and words can be the balm that soothes the weary soul. Not one of us is above the need for a gentle and kind word, so today as you go about living, think of some words you can utter that will tell those you truly care about will know they are cherished just because they are a part of what makes your world go around. Just be sure you mean what you say and say what you mean and start and end with the three little words . . . you know the song...'three little words, that's all I live for, the rest of my days . . . I love you . . . ' and there is another song that starts with 'speak softly', so practiced sweet nothing in some one's ear today and watch the sparkle shine from their eyes, and know just how good your day will be for your words can and do make a difference. I know it must be one of my lectures as I've said these words before. I just want to remind myself and my friends that loving words can ease a lot of pain in our lives. Right now, as I look out the window, there is a huge black cloud hovering in the sky and underneath is a small area of bright light, much like words waiting to chase the darkness out of our lives. Hugs to all. |
