Oh, Oh

A fabulous tree trunk.  Nature is really fascinating.   A wise old owl, wonder what advice he has in store for us today.    Friday all day, a weekend coming up to enjoy.

He has the face of an 'old fart' and the attitude.    No smiling eyes and in need of a hug or two.

I'm smiling.   Words do not always do the trick, but give the lady of the house a hammer and have her head for a bearing wall and you know he will move and get the job done.

Friday must be a favorite day as it leads into a weekend all to yourself.    I think we all , even those of us who are retired from the working world, find that weekends are not just another couple of days , but, a time to plan something different to do.   We all work all week, either around the house, or maybe out volunteering or helping where we can.   We clean, cook, bake and do all of the necessary chores that make our surroundings a real home.   Then the weekend comes and we automatically put things on hold and find reasons to get out and about or entertain our favorite folks.    All I can tell you is that weekends seem to go by a lot faster than those work days. . . wonder how come . . . bet you know the answer to that one.

Granddaughter Erin leaves for Guyana, South America today.  Keep her in your prayers for a successful stint with the Peace Corps.   She is going to do a blog so I'll share when I hear from her.   We have been talking about sending her care packages but that seems to be something we wont be able to do as Pat found out that it cost eight hundred dollars to mail 34 ounces.   We told Erin we will put some cash in her account and she can buy things herself.   I am sure she is in a city, not sure which one or how big, but our plans changed quickly with that news.

I'm  off to have my coffee and wake up.    So have yourselves a wonderful weekend doing what you love to do best.    I hope the weather is changing to sunshine and warmth and you make time to share your seconds with family and friends.    Just let them know how important they are to you and you will find out how important YOU are to them.    Good deeds are strength to the backbone.....get busy.  Hugs to all.
