Really!

  • A beautiful picture of Brookings Harbor.    whale watching starts soon and this is a good spot to be in to  catch sight of a spout or two.

Some folks know what to fight for.....our founding fathers did;  our world war II veterans did; and soon you will be able to cast a vote to make a difference and turn things around so we do not have socialism here gaining a foothold in our lives.   Freedom....of speech....Freedom of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness . . .

Angie got to her new place....Newport, Oregon and is already un-boxing and settling in.  She starts her new job, new friends . . .old ones who are already asking when they can visit, and I gain a weekend visitor on occasion.  I can hardly wait to share some time with her.

Now this picture came in on an e mail with a caption that it was not backwards or upside down or anything but what it is; our President and the First Lady of America using their left hand to salute . . . it did not say if they were at a Muslim affair or why they gave homage with their left hands;  hopefully it was not anything to do with America and its people.

Tidbits:    Erin arrived in Guyana  tired after all that sky time but tired and happy to start her new adventures.    We should be getting a blog as soon as she has time to settle in and get started.   Peat had a great birthday dinner last evening and got a roll of duck tape with a little duck on it which made us all laugh as Peat is the duck tape fixer upper of the neighborhood.    He and Darlene picked me up in their van with its ramp for their wheel chairs and its push button methods . . . really a boon and gives them so much freedom.    Darlene took us for a ride to the beach to see if any whales were spouting yet;  too early, maybe next week.   Sue and her beau joined us and we all ordered some of that salmon bisque to start off our dinners;  really delicious, rich and thick.    Good food, good company and fun to share time with.  So today, Sunday all day, time to rest up and do a lot of nothing special.    I hope you are doing likewise....resting....enjoying a quiet day....it is good for you, that is what Sundays are all about.  Make way for the sunshine, smile with your eyes and share a hug or two.  I'd like a verbal one please and thank you.  Hugs to all.l
