Downtown Port Orchard, Washington. Today is the Christmas Tea and the set up is done. There are thirteen tables this year. The raffle prizes are all wrapped and look beautiful as does the contents. The room looks festive and the ladies are all set.
The weekend is here and you can catch up with yourself. I am sure you have lots of plans to get ready for Christmas which is creeping up on us a bit faster than we think. It really is an exciting time of year, one of my favorite holidays. Enjoy the Christmas carols as some folks are bent on taking them away; fat chance; as each of us have them in our memory banks and can hum or sing them whenever we choose.
Put your seconds to work today and enjoy the day from start to finish. Get up, get out and take a walk, a short one if you have snow and ice on your pathways. Finish your shopping and then get those presents in the mail that have to go some distance. Don't pass up the little red buckets, put a few cents in and help those less fortunate than yourselves. Remember to light a candle for those in pain. You have 'your work cut out for you' so get busy and be that wonderful beautiful you who can light up a room when you walk into it. Be good, be warm, be caring . . just be YOU. Hugs to all. |
