Sleepy Time

We sent Christine home with some Christmas gifts and she opened them and emptied the basket with her new waffle iron and all the fixings.   One of the black cats thought it was a great idea and cuddled in the basket.  I guess there is no sense in wasting it.  Doesn't he look comfortable?   All set for a winter's nap.

Speaking of napping, granddaughter Erin doesn't seem to be ready to give up her comfortable bed.

Well she should know.

One of the little salvaged ponies ready to share Christmas greetings with folks today.   What a face!   What a cutie!   Bet he will make some children smile today.

Take time out to have lunch with a friend you haven't seen in awhile.  I did, yesterday, and had a delightful catch up visit.    We are both thinking about the next steps and are researching senior apartments but the cost gets  higher by the day.    I don't advocate those senior insurance plans for the future, but I do warn you to start an account in your bank for those future years so you have a nest egg when your time comes to become a senior member.  I know, I know, you are young now, but time has a way of catching up with us and being aware means even a small safety net is better than none.

We had rain last night and more promised for today.     I have last minute errands to run and finish off my gift list.  I bet you do too.  so, get busy, make your seconds count.    Don't forget the smiles, the hugs and remember no matter what you choose it will be the best gift ever because of the love it shows.   Hugs to all.
