Lights

Christmas lights.   Have you started decorating the outside of your house yet?   If so, take some pictures and put them on your Facebook so I can see them.    I love to ride out and see all the beautiful decorations and sparkling lights.     One way to get 'in the mood' for the coming Christmas holiday.

A misty morning.   Wouldn't it be fun to take a walk around at this time of day.   Quiet at its best.

The caption on this picture was that it was the northern lights over Colorado.   I'd like to see them.

\Baby chameleons .  What cuties.    They blend right in with the leaves.

The road continues right up to heaven.    Isn't there a song about 'stairway to the stars'?
I keep talking about the Garden Gate;   never gave thought to a stairway to heaven.   I'd never make it, stairs to me in at this age.    Um. . .better start exercising.
It is Hump Day, seems I just said that not to long ago.    I am still on vacation and enjoying every moment of it.   The weather is cold and snow is predicted in some areas, but I gather not here in Port Orchard.    We are cold with a bit of wind and it makes you move fast when you go outside.   Yesterday we had lunch at that little Home Café in the old church building.   the inside is interesting as the old doors that are worn and full of paint splotches and dings are the room breaks .  The tables and chairs are mismatched, as are the dishes.   The food is excellent and that is what it is all about.    Christine's friend had called to make a date to have lunch an she brought her husband along.  He has just returned from a hospital stay where he survived a dozen blood clots in his lung.   He has a hard time getting around, but he has the stamina to try and has smiling eyes, a nice man, easy to be with.    I had a delicious hamburger and told the waitress to lighten up on the fries or they would be wasted.  She brought the dish and there were still more fries than you could eat at one sitting.  Christine tells me that they usually serve twice as many as were on my plate.   I ate a few but left some behind, which brings to mind the old tales of the starving children of China.   So you remember your mother telling you to eat up or else...

How is your Christmas cards coming along?  Finished up yet?    My list gets shorter every year.   I look at my address book and know I need a new one as the cross off ones are sad to see.    But . . . I can light candles for those who have gone before me.  I had to laugh as I looked around the Thanksgiving table and listened to the tales that the folks were telling, then realized they could be my children, these gray bearded men and gray haired women who were regaling about the fifties and the music and styles.   It made me smile.  Time . . . a miracle . . . that goes by without our even being aware.    So today make your seconds count.   There is much to be done and only you can do what is needed to be done in your bailiwick.    Spread a bit of joy;   a little laughter;  a lot of love and a few hugs thrown in for good measure.   Smile with your eyes.  Hugs to all.
