A little squirrel thankful for a big can to hide in. It reminds me of my old friend, Clarence, who had a bench around one of the big trees in his yard. He had a can just like this one in the picture, turned on its side; and coaxed a squirrel to come and find the nuts he hid in there. Soon the squirrel learned he was one of the good guys and he came every day and even sat still to take a nut from his hand. Some folks are just true nature lovers.
So today is Saturday all day so get up and go about your business and get a few more things checked off your shopping list. Don't forget some wrapping paper and ribbon and those little to and from stickers. Sheila came for dinner last evening and enjoyed Christine's stuffed cabbage. It was tasty enough for seconds and the Boston cream pie desert was something I had not had in many years. I used to bake them a long time ago but lost touch with the recipe and didn't bother to find a new one. It brought back a thousand memories. Some deserts do just that. Think about what is your favorite desert and treat yourself to it. Make sure it is one from a long time back and you will be surprised at the wonders and feelings of the last time you either made it or ate it. So go back a cake and kiss the cook's helper or the cat. Smile a little, laugh out loud a lot and for heavens sake go hug someone. Hugs to all. |
