Counting Down

Christmas wreaths and poinsettia plants abound showing Christmas is around.  It gets the spirit going and if you have a light show in one of your park areas be sure to put aside a little time to go and visit.  the volunteers work very hard to make this possible and the end results are always a great big 'ah'.

Do not forget the outside , make them light a pathway to your door.    I came home to find my house decorated inside and out.   It looked so lovely it took my breath away.  My daughter Patricia and granddaughter Erin surprised me.   What a lovely surprise and how much I am enjoying the little tree and all the bright lights on my porch railing.

There is going to be an affair in Port Orchard before 2014 is midway and this little guy is going to be touting it.   What a cutie.    We'll be seeing more of him as the months go by.

Rob had icicles  on his window panes;  burr, 'baby it's cold outside'.    Put a log on the fire, push the furnace up a notch, stay warm and cozy and healthy during this changeable weather pattern we are in.   Freezing cold one day, warmer the next, what the old timers called pneumonia weather.   So dress warmly, stay dry, wear a hat and keep the warmth in and remember hugs make you much warmer.

Friday all day, one day closer to the weekend and your last chance to get everything done for the 25th...Christmas Day, only five more days away.    Rocky, the yard man, is coming over to neaten my front area close to the house.   It is a mess and he will fix it up and put bark in so it will look neat.  Work has slowed down for the winter and he is looking for an extra job or two.    So many folks are hurting this year so give a little thought to what you can do to help out.    Be good, Be generous, Be the one who lifts the spirits of those who are in need of a touch of your hand.   Smile with your eyes and don't forget to walk into a hug or two.    Make someone happy today and you will be happy too.  Hugs to all.
