Nope, I'm not going off in this little cutie, but someone is already to take a jaunt and spread some Christmas cheer. I wonder what is in those packages? |

Daughter Patricia and Emma think this is the very best way to spend a wintry day in Brookings. |

The falls turn to gold on a winter's day, how lovely. |
Enough Said!
Sunday and the temperature is to go up to fifty degrees, wow. . . a travel day. Time to pack the suit case and get ready for the trip back to Brookings. I'd like to be taking my daughter Christine back with me and keep her through the holidays but she is a very busy lady and has enough on her plate to see her through a lot of busy weeks ahead. She has a full time job but she also has entangled herself in three other projects here in Port Orchard and she meets herself coming and going. I think she should say the word 'no' more often, she had it down pat as a little one. But, she seems happy and content and has the energy so how can I tell her to store some for her future days, but that is something we never learn. Katrina the Great lives in all of us. So it is time to be on the road again and back to my own bed...sigh!! But, that proverbial but, I am going to miss my time with Christine.
The Christmas tea was a huge success. I have pictures but they are not down loaded as yet. I'll catch you up on that after I get home. The room looked so bright and cheerful with its red felt Santa hats on the chair backs, bright red table cloths and an array of dishes that was nothing short of awesome. The three tiered stand had Christmas plates of great size filled with special tiny sandwich; the chicken curry was so delicious, and the scones with special clotted cream disappeared before you could look at the top dish. The top dish . . . filled with sweet delights that really didn't last long. Two gentlemen poured tea and I have to admit I flirted with the one with the Earl Gray tea a bit, and got tea every time he came by. The raffle was a huge success and I would say that everyone had a great time.
So if you have a Tea to attend, or a Christmas party or two, go and show off your lovely smile and don't forget to share a hug or two. I got a couple I wasn't expecting and I admit, they felt awfully good. I'll miss the bright lights, the parties, the lovely ladies who made me feel so welcome but going home isn't all bad. Make your seconds count today, be good. . .if you can; be wise and beware. Hugs to all.
